Inisheer's beautiful beach

This islands name means "East Island".   It is the smallest of the three Aran Islands with a community of about 300 people.  Inis Oírr is located about 5 miles from Doolin Pier providing a gateway to County Clare and the Burren Region.

The ferry crossing is about 25 minutes making it a simple journey to a truly astounding place.

Inis Oírr is a charming island with a lot to offer.  Guests to this island can enjoy Medieval Ruins such as O'Brien's Castle (surely we are related somehow), St. Kevin's Church (Teampall Chaoimháin), and holy wells.  The island boasts a lovely beach with a near-by playground making it a great getaway for explorers and families alike.

There are 3 Pubs serving food & refreshments, a small convenient store for bits & pieces, and an array of cafes for a respite.

We can't possibly say enough about Inis Oírr.  It is truly a special place and happens to be one of our favourites!
